Crohn’s disease(CD) is a chronic non-specific intestinal inflammatory disease, The etiology of Crohn’s disease remains unclear, at present, it involves genetic, infection, environmental and immunologic factors.

In the last several decades, the incidence of Crohn’s disease has grown steadily. Since the publication of the previous edition of the practice guides, many changes have taken place in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with Crohn’s disease. So in 2018, the American Society of Gastroenterology updated the guide of Crohn’s Disease and puts forward some suggestions to diagnosis and treatment, designed to better resolve medical problems linked to the Crohn’s disease. It is hoped that the doctor will be able to combine the guidelines with the patient’s needs, wishes and values when conducting clinical judgments in order to adequately and appropriately manage patients with Crohn’s disease.
