World Hepatitis Day: Breaking Testing Barriers, Joining Forces to Eliminate Hepatitis
July 28, 2026 marks the 16th “World Hepatitis Day,” and this year’s national theme in China is ”Collective Action to Eliminate Hepatitis.” Viral hepatitis remains a major global public health challenge, with over 287 million people worldwide living with chronic hepatitis B or hepatitis C. These two “silent killers” are the leading causes of liver cirrhosis and liver cancer.
As a medical diagnostics company, we fully understand that early detection and early diagnosis are the critical first steps to breaking the chain of hepatitis transmission and achieving the goal of “eliminating hepatitis.” Hepatitis B is preventable and controllable, while hepatitis C is curable—yet many individuals miss the optimal window for treatment simply because they are unaware of their infection status. To this end, we are committed to providing accurate and efficient testing solutions to support hepatitis screening efforts.
We offer HCV (hepatitis C virus) and HBsAg (hepatitis B surface antigen) colloidal gold rapid test kits. Based on immunochromatographic technology, these kits are simple to operate, deliver rapid results, and require no complex instrumentation. They are ideally suited for large-scale screening and primary healthcare settings, effectively lowering the barriers to testing.
To meet the demand for higher-precision quantitative analysis and genotyping, we have introduced HCV and HBsAg fluorescence immunoassay testing solutions, compatible with our WIZ-A101 and WIZ-A203 fluorescence immunoassay analyzers. This solution combines the high sensitivity of immunofluorescence technology with the convenience of lateral-flow testing. It features excellent repeatability (CV ≤ 10%) and delivers accurate, reliable results, with support for LIS system data integration—making it well-suited for precise diagnosis and disease monitoring in clinical settings.
From convenient colloidal gold rapid tests to precise fluorescence immunoassays, our product portfolio covers the entire continuum of hepatitis screening, diagnosis, and monitoring. On this World Hepatitis Day, let us join hands—leveraging the power of technology to break down the barriers of awareness and testing—and contribute our collective efforts toward achieving the goal of eliminating hepatitis.
